The Temporary Internet Files (also known as cache files) folder contains Web page content that is stored on your hard disk for quick viewing, while you browsing Web sites. This cache allows Internet Explorer to download only the content that has been changed since your last visit, instead of downloading pages, images, scripts every time it is displayed.
